1. Booking and Cancellation Policy

On completion and return of the Island Escape Cruises Cancellation Terms & Conditions of Travel form you have formally confirmed to Island Escape Cruises Ltd that you intend to join an adventure cruise. Once we confirm your cruise position then a 50% deposit is required to reserve your position on that cruise. Full payment is required at least 14 days before the departure date.

• If cancellation is received between 60 and 30 days prior to sailing then a 50% cancellation fee will be incurred.
• If cancellation is received within 30 days prior to arrival, a 100% cancellation fee will be incurred.

2. Travel Insurance

We do recommend that our guests hold a fully comprehensive travel insurance policy in case of any unexpected changes in their travel that may incur cancellation fees. Please be aware that scuba diving and in water activities are not covered by most travel insurance policies.

3. Terms

IEC will endeavor to adhere to the scheduled itinerary, but reserve the right to alter the proposed itinerary or cancel the trip in the event
of weather conditions and vessel operation requirements. Trip itineraries are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Master of the Vessel. In the event that a trip is delayed, or cut short due to weather or medical emergency, fees will not be refunded. IEC will not be held financially responsible for an alternative trip or any accommodation, any inconvenience incurred, or for adverse weather conditions or illness as a result. Trip fees will not be refunded should you be unable to board in time for the scheduled departure.

4. Other

All divers must present a valid Certification Card before diving. Same gender cabin share is always guaranteed.

5. Luggage/Weight Requirements

When transferring either way by helicopter your total luggage weight is strictly limited to 10 kilograms (22lb) per person and all bags must be soft sided. Secure storage is available at the Island Passage Auckland Wharf office.

6. Safety Terms and Customer Declaration

In any adventure activity, there is an element of risk involved. Risks in undertaking this activity may include fishing, diving and swimming together with Helicopter flights and expedition boat trips and usual Maritime conditions.

The staff and management of Island Escape Cruises Limited take all practicable steps to identify and minimise potential dangers.

However, you must follow our instructions and use the safety equipment provided at all times. Adults accompanying any person under the age of 18 must ensure that the underage person follows our instructions at all times. You must release or indemnify Island Escape Cruises Limited and our staff against any liability we incur to anyone else, resulting from your failure to follow our instructions or the failure of any person accompanying you under the age of 18 to follow our instructions.

We reserve the right to withdraw any person who in our opinion is likely to endanger themselves or others. We also reserve the right to cancel the cruise if we become concerned for any reason for your safety or that of any other person.

PLEASE NOTE: Under New Zealand law it is extremely unlikely that you will be able to sue anyone if you are injured. In addition, New Zealand's accident compensation scheme provides only limited assistance to visitors to New Zealand who are injured. We strongly recommend that all visitors to New Zealand have full insurance covering any injury they might suffer, including medical treatment cover, before undertaking this activity.

EXCLUSIONS: To the extent permitted by law, all our liability for damage to your property, disruption to travel plans, or mental injury is excluded. This exclusion is subject to any rights or remedies you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Please list any medical conditions or other information we need to know to include you safely in this activity. For example: asthma, allergies, heart conditions, epilepsy or pregnancy. information we hold about you or to request its correction at any time.
